Compact polyester sheet
PET sheets are compact, thermoplastic polyester sheets.
They are characterised by high impact resistance and good reaction to combustion; they are suitable for contact with foodstuffs, resistant to chemicals, and fully recyclable.
PET sheets come in the following versions:
- TRANSPARENT perfect visibility and high light transmittance;
- GLARE-FREE provided with a glare-free finish on one side;
- WHITE matt, non transparent, including in low thickness versions;
- OPAL 30 translucent; their pleasant white hue ensures good light diffusion;
- UV-PROTECTED clear transparent, featuring a UV radiation protection to prevent yellowing; not suitable for applications in contact with foodstuffs.
BENEFITS OFFERED BY SHEETS
- Good impact resistance
- Good rating thanks to their fire reaction properties
- Suitable for use with foodstuffs
APPLICATIONS
PET sheets are ideal for use in indoor spaces: all types of display protective glazing, price tags, shelf dividers, poster framing and backlit images, signs, advertising lettering, food containers and trays, decorations, and flat machinery guarding.
Sheets are easy to process and to silk-screen.
Thanks to its polyester crystallisation properties, surface dulling effects may occur during thermoforming processes.
PET UV sheets are recommended for outdoor applications.
