SPECIFICATIONS
The properties of PTFE mentioned above make this material an indispensable solution for a number of problems which would otherwise be extremely complex, where not unsolvable at all. 
Some specific applications, however, require that the product properties be improved.

In these cases, substances known as “fillers” are used to change the aforementioned features of PTFE by adding the necessary powder additives in the polymer.
The fillers most commonly used include glass fibre, carbon, graphite, molybdenum disulphide, bronze, ceramic powders, and also mixtures of two or more fillers. The type and quality of these fillers may:

- increase the compressive yield strength;
- increase wear resistance;
- reduce the thermal expansion coefficient;
- modify volume resistivity and surface resistivity;
- enhance hardness.
